The tattoos don’t look that bad.

That’s because her clothes cover up most of those hideous tatts. Thank Tor.

No, now she looks looks like someone you can run your hands over… ( did I say that outloud ? Oh hell, that’s what I thought when I saw these shots )

Funny, in that studio shot I don’t see a bit of red martian skin. I’m so confused. Is it a pigment they wear, is the lighting just better in some shots. I just wish they would have stuck with ERB’s skin tones. That being said, those pics of Lynn Collins in Helliumite garb are NICE!

that is ERB’s skin tone
the images with the gray background the lighting seems to be off . . . . I would venture a guess that the people who were setting up the web page corrected the images skin tone in photoshop with editing because they thought the images were off or poorly lighted or something
either that or movie screenshots are digitally enhanced to give a better skintone for the reds
but her clothes hair and tattoos also look off in that image
its all very confusing T _ T

All along I wondered if there would be some colour changes to tone down the Coke Red of the tats in some shots.

Now those are what I was looking for…

I know how ERB wrote it and have no problem with some shots from the trailers where she looks the part. I just find it odd that, lighting or no, some shots she simply has Lynn Collins skin tone and others the reddish tone we all know. I’ve never seen pics that vary so widely for a film. I hope you are right about the post-editing. I really have high hopes things will be a little more polished in those respects.
