Michael Giacchino: A Live Conversation with Music

Thanks to Diana over at http://jcofmars.com/ for this great find. She says that John Carter and Dejah’s themes are in the interview. I haven’t heard it yet. http://www.wqxr.org/#/programs/movies/2011/dec/17/

I love the tracks. Sentimentally old-fashioned, very Lawrence of Arabia-esque. More intimate than expected, which bodes well for character-centeredness. The “Pursuit of Dejah” action track is exciting, very old-school John Williams. These tracks are not trying to sound modern, which I greatly appreciate. The classic sound is way better, and better suits the material. Can’t wait to hear the full score!

Ha! I had missed what you added to “Ralok” for that post. Truly shocking! 😉
