Direct link to survey page: http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2011/12/27/hobbits-aliens-batman-and-more-which-is-the-most-anticipated-movie-of-2012/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter&dlvrit=63378

The survey box is under the trailer windows. You can vote as many times as you want! πŸ˜‰ Vote early and vote often! John Carter is in 3rd for now, after The Hobbit and The Dark Night Rises.

  2. I pushed it up to 140 now. But I gotta go !

  3. I don’t like the idea of voting more than once for something, like American Idol, but I had to vote for John Carter. I’m anticipating The Avengers but I hadn’t been waiting 20 years for that movie. πŸ˜€

It is a little surprising that there’s no vote limit. But I figure if the website designed the poll to allow multiple votes, they know full well what kind of results they’ll get – i.e. not the scientific or authoritative kind, but the FUN kind!

*As in the “just for FUN” kind*

      • I don’t care if people do it, I just don’t do it myself.

Oh shit! Bowie would be cool too! After all, he already has experience with Mars…he’d be perfect!

      • Stanton’s a big Bowie fan – as am I – Bowie doing John Carter would be, oh I don’t known – so rad man…

        December 28, 2011 at 7:02 pm

      • I had a brief Bowie conversation with Stanton on Twitter. I’d said Bowie should do a song for JC . He said it be great if did A song period, expressing his frustration at nothing new. I passed on that I’d heard Bowie had been working with Lou Reed and that they were going to start a new album early 2012.

Another poll….only this time for the trailers. I have to admit, I would feel much more comfortable voting for an English version of the Japanese trailer. However, I don’t think the others are that much better….I think they just got a warmer reception because of people’s familiarity with the other properties. So I went ahead and voted once for JC.

Probably didn’t help that John Carter was at the bottom of the page. It’s doubtful many people watched ALL the trailers before voting, especially those toward the bottom.

  10. Hey guys, John Carter is my second most anticipated movie, after only The Hobbit, but I just wanted to say that it’s not very nice to be stuffing the poll…obviously, it’s not like it really matters in real life, but it’s just not polite.

I’m still excited for the movie, though! Here’s my ranking for all those movies:
    1. The Hobbit
    2. John Carter
    3. The Dark Knight Rises
    4. The Avengers
    5. The Hunger Games
    6. The Amazing Spider-Man
    7. Brave
    8. Prometheus

    December 28, 2011 at 10:28 pm

    • Well I’m the pole stuffer and I just stuffed 10 more in there. It makes me happy. You don’t often get the chance in life to stack your own ( imaginary & meaningless ) deck. I think it just shows our passion for the project.

  11. It appears stuffing the box worked. Here is an article on the poll results.

Does anyone know when these 2 polls (Herocomplex & Coming Soon) close?

You don’t have to worry about JC being beat in either poll. Does anyone know of any other online polls for 2012 movies?

      December 31, 2011 at 8:06 pm

      • Alex Chapman

I not worried, last time I checked John Carter had big leads in both polls, I’m interested in seeing what the final numbers are.

It seems the Expendables fans have come out of the woodwork on the Coming Soon poll.
Started this morning at about 2%, it’s all the way up the 15% and closing in on Dark Knight Rises for #2.
