Why does the poster say June 2, 2012?

OKay, my moment of panic is over for the moment. 6-2-12 is a Saturday. That would be an odd day to release a movie. I just found an article stating that Prometheus and John Carter had swapped dates. Originally JC was due out during June and P in March. Maybe the poster of Dejah Thoris was finished before that and still has the old date on it. Although, P was originally stated for 6-8-12…

Robert, not sure where you’re getting you info…
John Carter was originally scheduled for June 8.
Frankenweenie and Prometheus for Mar. 9.
Disney flip-flopped JC and Frankenweenie. JC Mar. 9 Frank June 8.
2 days later, Prometheus (not wanting to go head to head with JC) moved to a June 8 release.

  4. I’d rather they delay it than release an inferior product. June 2nd is earlier than June 8th, which was the first date.

I hope it is just a mistake

I really couldnt handle it being delayed that long

  5. Maybe a European date or Australian or something. I just fired off a note Lynn asking her about it.

    • Lynn has confirmed to me that the date is still March 9/2012.
