      yaaaayy

I dont feel ratings matter as much as they used to

Ususallly iti s just ignored, and the parents drag their children into whatever movie they want to see

“parents drag their children into whatever movie they want to see”

It always seems very strange when I see young children in a movie that is clearly not for kids. I hope that parents think about the influence this could be having on their young ones.

I dont think John Carter is a bad influence on children, and I find it unfair to judge it such because of a superficial rating.

Sorry, Eric. I didn’t write very clearly just then. By “the influence this could be having on their young ones,” I meant the general practice of dragging kids into whatever movie they want to see without going to the trouble of getting a babysitter. I didn’t mean John Carter in particular at all. Though, I might feel slightly embarrassed if I go to a screening of John Carter and see anyone under the age of ten.

I venture a guess that it will be mostly teenage girls the first day, the second day all their boyfriends they dragged along will have facebooked about it and thus the next day it will be mostly teenage boys

I saw the bulk of the robocop series when I was Eight

I cant say if it affected me but it was certainly terrifying at the time
